The two volumes provide material for a freshman-sophomore course in calculus in which linear algebra is gradually introduced and blended with the calculus. Still it is quite possible it does not have a huge number of exercises, so I would look at it and try reading and learmning something from it. This would serve admirably as the text for a course or as a tool for self-study.
